You have the right to:
- Appropriate assessment and management of pain
- Reasonable access to care
- Considerate care that represents the patient’s values and beliefs
- Participate in decisions regarding his or her care
- Participate in the consideration of ethical issues that arise in the provision of his/her care, including giving informed consent and resolving dilemmas about care decisions
- Personal privacy and confidentially of information
- Designate a representative decision maker in the event that the patient is incapable of understanding a proposed treatment or procedure is unable to communicate his/her wishes regarding care
- Informed of these issues related to his/her care
- Have caregivers educated by the center about patient rights and their role in supporting those rights
- Access to protective services
