The best health care services in the world can’t help you if you have no way to get there. Don’t miss or delay your medical care because you lack transportation.
Transportation is inexpensive compared to the high and rapidly growing cost of healthcare, making it more cost-effective to transport a member to preventative care rather than waiting for a serious health condition to arise. By offering this benefit to the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and other transportation disadvantaged populations, RHMPI strives to:
- Remove transportation barriers
- Prevent missed medical appointments
- Decrease the impact of chronic disease
- Reduce the costs of inpatient medical treatment
HOW CAN I QUALIFY FOR THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICE AT THE RURAL HEALTH MEDICAL PROGRAM, INC.?
RHMPI has a network of partners that work diligently to provide safe dependable and affordable transportation to our health centers across the black belt region. We partner with the West Alabama Public Transportation and the Alabama Tombigbee Regional Commission to provide access to our patients across the following counties: Dallas, Marengo, Monroe, Perry, and Wilcox.
Contact a member of our Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs) to assist with eligibility and scheduling your upcoming transportation logistics, follow-up visit, or referral to specialists today by calling (844) 736-7629.
We understand that life is not predictable and the unthinkable happens at the worst possible time. It is our primary goal here at RHMPI to eliminate barriers such as transportation from preventing our patients from receiving quality affordable medical care. — Patricia Moten, Alabama License Social Worker
